The Little Mermaid

The following is an actual conversation I had with my 5 year old daughter:
Her: Mommy, I just love the water.
Me: Yeah, me too.
Her: Yeah. When I grow up, I think I’m gonna be a mermaid.
Me: Oh really?
Her: Yup, because I love the water so much and so I’m gonna be a mermaid.
Me: Oh. [...]

I love reading

other people’s writing. Perfect, imperfect, hilarious, serious, it doesn’t matter. Every sentence, every paragraph that a person jots down is unique- like a fingerprint. I don’t write like you, and you don’t write like her and she doesn’t write like him, and I love that!
It’s so refreshing when you really think about it…
