Supposedly, a green flash shows up in the sky for a split second after the sun dips below the horizon.  Itʻs especially easy to see when the sky is clear.

Now, I watched this sunset through my camera with dried eyeballs, just waiting to see some hint of green in the sky- but sadly, there was none.  My stepdad and his friend claimed they saw one though, and talked about it excitedly.  I donʻt know what sky THEY were looking at but it wasnʻt this one.

Iʻm not even sure that such a thing exists.  In fact, I think the green color comes from staring at the bright sun too long… but then again, thatʻs just me.
